To introduce our company and service I will tell you a little story that will demonstrate what we do and why you benefit from working with us:

Before the advent of the internet, when people still wore loin cloths and carried clubbs, business was done the following way:

Two people would meet at a function, exchange businesscards and agree to meet for dinner. Upon return to their respective offices the newly acquired businesscard was ceremonially inserted into their rolodex or mounted in that little black leather book that holds about 300 cards and gathers dust in one of your drawers.

Let’s assume they actually manage get that far and actually have dinner in order to explore all the incredible opportunities that they could realise together. The dinner is a success. They promise each other that they will be in touch to take the next step, they return to their respective offices and continue to foster the good intention to contact their “new businesspartner” until this very day – until today!! There are people out there thinking: “You know I never got back to so and so – I really should give him a call”… you see unless the opportunities discussed in that meeting were relevant for immediate action and fit into the person’s actual real and current agenda – in the words of the great Robert Collier – “unless they enter into the conversation in that persons mind” – they become OLD news very fast – well faster than you can say “Let’s pick up this conversation tomorrow.”.

Then email came along and the really nifty businessmen came back from a function with a new businesscard – but rather than sticking it into their rolodex and forgetting about it, they put into their email list – a list that they would periodically send a message to, be it a holiday greeting or a new development in their life – just to revisit “front of mind” every so often.

This gave the businessman an opportunity to catch his new businesspartner at various points in his life, possibly even at a point when picking up the conversation would make sense. So a new “conversation-entry-point” was born. However these conversation-entry-points remained few and far between, because mails of this sort would generally be sent on birthdays or holidays.

I must say I still receive a birthday mail on my oldest son’s birthday from one of my very esteemed colleagues in a project I worked on over 6 years ago, and it brings back a lot of great memories. It also always inspires me to contact him even with just a line or two – but he becomes “front-of-mind” for these few minutes.

Ha – BUT THEN – Blogging started and people started sending out email reminders to their blogposts, which now documented any number of things in their individual personal- and work- lives. Anybody who wanted to participate or STALK the blogger now had an insight into the things that were moving him, and Bloggers who understood the power of this medium started focusing their blogs into “interest based information forums”, and invited not only their friends, but now their clients to participate in their “mind-stream” – this increased “conversation-entry-points” exponentially.

Ahhhh – Along came Social Media – in the form of Facebook and Twitter, Buzz, YouTube and many other tools and changed the Whole playingfield.

How?

Well all over sudden, you have people holding personal conversations in cyberspace, and you and I can tune our “secret radio” to listen in on all those conversations that are relevant to you or your business…. talking about “entering the conversation in a person’s mind” – you are not just entering it – you are able to participate in it – at the very point when it is “front-of-mind”.
